Process Tape

Process tapes are the everyday tapes a converting or packaging line consumes around the actual product: masking, holding, wrapping, reinforcing and sealing. Fortis Industrial stocks the tesa® grades Malaysian printers ask for most. tesa® 4137 is an aluminised polyester tape with acrylic adhesive that resists heat and unwinds easily, used on dryers and heat shields. tesa® 4820 and 4830 are PTFE tapes with a silicone adhesive for high temperature and release applications such as heat-seal bars and shrink tunnels.

For double-sided holding there is tesa® 4959, a 100 µm translucent non-woven tape with highly tackified acrylic; tesa® 4963, a transparent PVC film tape that resists plasticisers; and tesa® 64621, a 90 µm PP film tape with hot-melt rubber adhesive. tesa® 4244 PV0 is a soft PVC fine-line tape for sharp edges, tesa® 4287 EU PV10 a tensilised polypropylene strapping tape, and 50948 a black PET splicing tape with very high tack.
