tesa® Softprint 52116 TP is the medium grade in the Softprint Steel Master TP 380 µm series — grade 3 of 5 from soft to hard. One step softer: tesa® Softprint 52117 Steel Master TP (soft); one step harder: tesa® Softprint 52115 TP (medium-hard).

Description

tesa® Softprint 52116 Steel Master (STM) TP is a medium, 380 µm category double-coated PE foam tape (430 µm total) with a tackified acrylic adhesive and a structured PP liner, designed specifically for mounting 1.14 mm (0.045″) or 1.70 mm (0.067″) photopolymer plates in flexographic label printing.

The medium foam makes this the ideal compromise in printing solids, line work and screen with only one foam hardness.

Features

  • Foam properties: Highly compressible foam, with superior recovery behavior for excellent print quality. Long lsting recovery characteristic for extended and high speed print runs. Low thickness tolerances for quick print preparation and reduced waste.
  • Adhesive properties: High bonding on open side to steel cylinder or sleeve to avoid plate movement. Sufficient bonding to plate to avoid edge lifting or plate movement. Non increasing, tailored bonding power for easy repositioning and especially for easy demounting of thinner plates. Very cohesive adhesive structure for demounting without adhesive residues.
  • Additional properties: The structured PP-liner prevents the formation of air pockets when plate mounting. Purple color marking indicates the medium foam quality.
